Exclusive Premier Voidward’s Occult Symmetry

Just up the road from me, in Durham, resides the enigmatic entity known as Voidward.

Occult Symmetry is the latest opus from the mind of Greg Sheriff, who covers Guitar Vocals and his equally mysterious minions, Noah Kessler on Drums and Background Vocals, and Alec Ferrell bringing the heavy bottom on Bass and Background Vocals!

Occult Symmetry reminds me of the days when music on the radio was almost good. Light Rider reminds me ever-so-slightly of Billy Thorpe’s Children of the Sun. It’s got catchy hooks and grooves that seem to come from a different age.

Dark Miracle keeps the same timeless groove going and is bound to become an anthem for fans of the band. It chugs, it rocks, and chugs again.

You can hear it now before it’s released. But that’s not all folks:

In the YouTube description, I’ve put in a special Bandcamp link. The first 10 people who use the link and one of the codes get the album for FREE on digital download and streaming.

From the Desert Bloom PR press release:

Hailing from Durham, NC, the mysterious Voidward embraces all that is heavy, wrangling relentless riffs against swirling rhythms through shimmering psychedelia. High concept/low brow guitar+bass+drum epics with vivid vocal melodies and harmonies. For fans of The Fucking Champs, Sigur Rós, Black Sabbath, Antônio Carlos Jobim

’Occult Symmetry’ is a fully realized composition, divided into two movements: Light Rider and Dark Miracle. Light Rider and Dark Miracle are two entities engaged in a timeless orbit throughout existence, forever compelled and eternally repulsed by the same desire: Completion in the presence of one another. The Void Cycle is an epic poem describing the culmination of The Void as we know it in the separation of LightRider and Dark Miracle. Occult Symmetry is the prelude to The Void Cycle.
