Hailing from North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, SIXYEARHEX is a passion project for Rob Broyhill, who wrote and recorded all parts, as well as mixed the debut EP, Under The Glow. For live performances, Rob enlists the services of a drummer, rounding out the lineup to comprise a thunderous power duo. Blazing a new sonic trail, SIXYEARHEX takes a lean, uniquely distilled approach to doom and desert rock; all while embracing efficiency, hooks, and the power of the almighty riff.
‘In More Ways Than One’ is an exploration of a time in my life where I found myself as part of a group of friends that, despite our “best intentions”, used each other…literally and figuratively. We’ve all found ourselves in similar situations to varying degrees. It’s about that harsh realization that nothing is off limits to some people. It also makes us question ourselves and our own motives. Some people are only concerned with their own agendas, and will stop at nothing to get what they want. It is up to us to decide how we live, what we accept of ourselves and others, and if we keep certain folks in our lives or not
