A couple weeks ago I bumped into Seth Jordan on the DSSM group on Facebook, who made a comment to me about the name of the site. Before I matched snark with snark, I checked out his profile and Cheesus Crust, the dude’s with Ape Vermin! Anyone with that pedigree can say whatever they want, and I’ll take it as a compliment.
Turns out, he’s also cool as hell, like most people in the Heavy Underground. I asked him if Ape Vermin had anything new planned. He hinted… I mean, their last album, Arctic Noise was fucking awesome. Pure Doom with a side of Sludge. I can only imagine what it sounds like live.
And if you live in any of the bergs listed below, you DON’T have to imagine. Ape Vermin is hitting the road, and it’s one heck of a long road. This ain’t some mini-tour to the next county. This is a serious trek that should get them thousands of fans. Once you hear ’em, you’ll get what I’m telling ya.
The Riders of the Damned Tour
If that’s not HEAVY enough for you, they’re hitting the road with none other than Mean Green! These guys are good friends of Clean and Sober Stoner, and even sat in for one of my earliest interviews!
I’m trying to picture a heavier duo than this, and I’m coming up short. Well, Primitive Man teaming with Telekinetic Yeti might do it. But we’re talking US-Prime kick-ass Stoner/Doom with enough low-end to give the East Coast another earthquake. I can guarantee that Casper, Wyoming probably hasn’t dealt with this strain of CRUSHING RIFFS in a while, if ever!
So, get those tickets and save enough $$$ for some merch. I’m just pissed they’re not hitting Raleigh! (yet…)
