Looks like Valentine’s Day is coming early this year—with all the lust, adventure, and fantasy you can handle.
Castle Rat, the Fantasy Doom Metal visionaries out of Brooklyn, have worked alongside their label, King Volume Records, to release an exciting limited series of downloadable Valentine’s Day cards.
Featuring characters from the Castle Rat band mythology and a wicked sense of humor, these cards pull you into the band’s fantasy world while helping you seduce that special someone.

“Conquer hearts and devour the souls of your dearest lovers — using the powers concealed within these unique cards,” says Castle Rat’s Rat Queen (performed by Riley Pinkerton). “On our interdimensional travels throughout space and time, I make a point to grab a memento from each timeline along the way… The 1970s were such a blur, but, thankfully, these charming cards somehow slipped themselves into my boot before leaving here!
“Between the magic of The Realm and the Power of the Pun, these Valentines are sure to enchant that special someone from now until the end of time!”
“Castle Rat is a hungry fantasy beast after your hearts,” says King Volume Records owner Todd White. “Careful—that isn’t a metaphor! This is the only band in the world that can break your neck rocking, sell your soul to Death, and resurrect your bloodless corpse in a single performance.”
Castle Rat’s debut album, Into the Realm, is coming out on April 12, 2024. In the meantime, get a small taste of their delicious sound by checking out the “Feed The Dream” single:
